Conjoint Couples Therapy

What is Conjoint Couples Therapy?

In Conjoint Couples Therapy, Debbie and Craig work collaboratively with both of you. One of us will observe while the other interacts with you. This allows us to gain greater insight than each of us alone might achieve. Following every session, we spend time considering, discussing and then creating a plan to guide you forward.

Most often we use this approach with couples who are stuck or come to us in deep crisis. Some couples are also drawn to this approach because they like to have both a male and female perspective.

Conjoint Therapy is frequently a recommendation that one of us will make when we see that you, as a couple, could benefit from a second set of eyes and additional perspective. We bring our own personal experiences as a married couple to each session—these enhance our understanding of your issues and serve as a useful model in moving forward.
